This was a great story. I really enjoyed the plotting and the story telling. I could feel how tired Giles was.

It's always nice when Giles gets to save the world. And when Xander gets to help.

Although I will admit, I'm still curious as to why Buffy was only sleeping two hours a day.

Thank you so much! And thanks for letting me know I wasn't clear enough about the Buffy thing; I'm working on a full, very detailed, beta of the story (well, it's in my beta's hands, and I will be working on it as soon as I get it back), and I'll make sure it comes through then.

She's not sleeping at night, because she can't delegate the responsibility of making sure everyone's safe; she's feeling too much guilt about not being out there, about not being able to save all the other Slayers who have died, and the innocents too, and she can't sleep anyway because of it. She only sleeps when everyone's up and Dawn pesters her to lay down...

I hope that makes sense. It does in my head. :)

I really enjoyed this. I like how you managed to create a romance in the midst of all the apolcalyptic action. Your action sequences are well-written (I love Xander taking out the demons with the crossbow) and the little moments between the two - from the letters at the beginning to the shower scene to their moment at the end - are wonderfully intimate.

That was just wonderful.

I love that Xander wanted to retain the memories so that he could share Giles' burden. And the absolute trust he had in Giles doing the spell both times. Really great fic!

so i'm catching up on my much delayed feedback and Sofy? This is just wonderful. From Xander's letters (which were awesome in a light-i'm-saying-as-much-as-i-can-but-trying-to-be-cool-about-it kind of way), to the having to redo the spell (and thank you, too, for redeeming the Btvs-side and having them actually come help the Ats-side - WESLEY LIVES!), to the awesome wish fulfillment TPTB actually *gave* Giles & Xander. And the fact that it's the heart that's needed to save the world again?? But twisting it to Giles' heart? AWEOSME
