Okay. In my experience, more expensive doesn't necessarily equal more realistic or more comfortable. The only place I would say that money buys quality is in binders. The Tkingdom and Underworks binders are more expensive than the modified back braces and such that guys come up with, but they bind better, last longer, and are more comfortable for a lot of people. Packers and STP devices, on the other hand, are so specific in what works for an individual and a person's own needs that I wouldn't hazard a guess as to what cost might be worth peace of mind to anyone else. As far as clothes go, whatever brands fit you most flatteringly is what you should buy. There's no point in buying lots of cheap men's clothes if they don't make you look right. Better to have one pair of pants you feel comfortable and confident in than five pairs that stay in the closet. If, however, you're lucky and cheap brands fit you well, go nuts.
Thanks. I really appreciate the info and thought I thanked you *days* ago. I've been hitting the discount stores to try on different styles of pants, and I've got a pretty honest SO to tell me if they look different than I'd want them to.
