Angkor Wat

Well we have spent the last two days exploring the temples around Angkor Wat. To be honest, I didn't have huge expectations, after seeing so many ruins and temples in Thailand I kind of thought I would see the first two sites and then lose interest all together. Chicky and Kook you guys are amazing! I'm not sure I could handle seeing hundreds of kids in that situation day in and day out. You were right not to give them much money though, as it obviously doesn't go where it's most needed. And I feel very special that you still have the bracelet from me.

You certainly need to be young and fit to do the travelling involved in getting to these special places! Your mode of transport is quite a challenge! Thought your idea of passing out sweets to the children was great - something for them that did not have to be passed on to someone.

Wow, I don't know how you do it Nikki. You try and try so hard to fix everything don't you my darling! It does make you wonder where the postcard money goes to though. Especially how you say the kids are in the same clothes, time and time again. Quite sad really! Maybe they are like 'aussies' - the ones who make 'claims' all the time LOL. Perhaps they are sitting in the corner of there huts/homes/whatever, sipping on Cambodian Metho, while the kids are supporting their habits LOL. That was meant as a joke, and not to be taken personally by any other readers please. BUT, it does make you think, it could very well possibly be happening ( ... )
