Nong Khai to Vientiane

Well, what has been happening here? After our last update Luke and I headed into town for the festival. It was pretty amazing, there was a huge stage show with Thai dancers and a performance of the legend behind the Naga fireballs. Thanks Nikki for the wonderful account of the Fire ball Festival. I'm looking forward to hearing more about Laos. I can't imagine the huge tree-animals you saw in the jungle. How were they done I wonder......you will be able to write a book when you get home! love from us both Gma

Sounds like you had a great time, even though you didn't see the fire balls. What a bummer! I would have loved to have seen those trees (hope you had your camera), although I am a little disappointed that you didn't mention any in the shape of a Giraffe - hehehe ( ... )

Hey you! No giraffes.. in the shape of trees or otherwise! we didnt get any photos, its pretty hard to take photos from a moving vehicle.. especially when its being driven by a thai!!
That's wonderful news about the rotary stuff. Please thank Chris for us! Its wonderful!

I just checked the photos AFTER posting the last message LOL (typical huh). The photos are great! You guys look so happy and relaxed, even AFTER a 12 hour bus trip hehehehe. And you weren't pulling our legs about the crowds for the festival were you - oh my god - those crowds are phenomenal!!! Keep having fun.
