I thin you should have said it is extremely selfish to want to have children. Accidental pregnancy is a big problem too. I don't think it is selfish to not want to kill your child, even if you didn't plan on having one in the first place. A mother becomes attached to a child as soon as she knows it is there. Education is something that greatly reduces the number of cases. I think it is important to have free and accessible condoms. People aren't going to stop having sex. A package of condoms is about $10.00 and contains about 10 condoms. A carton of cigarettes is about *$15.00 and contains 200 cigarettes. If a person smokes and has sex but only has room in the budget for one they will do both.

I've kind of lost track of my point.

* = Price I found online, I don't know how much they really are, but a pack of cigarettes is cheaper than a package of condoms. I guess you just have to pay more to do things that are safe.

Dude, a carton of cigs is like $50 retail. One can also get condoms for free at Planned Parenthood and other clinics.

But yeah, the government should pay for healthcare and that should include birth control, especially since it's in all our vested interest to slow down population growth.
