Raindrops the size of coins

Wow, did it rain today! After days and days of relentless heat, it finally rained. Buckets. Raindrops the size of coins. It stopped by mid-afternoon and the breeze was cool. There are still heavy rain clouds in the sky so maybe it will rain again tomorrow. But I can’t celebrate as much as I want to because I have the beginnings of a cold - right

finished Oscar and Lucinda last night and sobbed miserably in bed while my Monkey was snoring like a pig.
What a saaaaad end.... but all the same, I shall like to thank you because without you I would probably never have opened this book...

wow, glad to know you like the book. even if it's a bit sad. lucinda is one of my favorite heroines ever. :) and the bit about her becoming union leader was perfect.
