this city is crazy. all i have to say is, whatever you think happens here actually does and when you see it live in the flesh, its pretty nutso. the train ride here went smoothly, we talked to a bunch of kids from louisiana who have been studying abroad in paris and were doing a weekend trip to amsterdam

Paintings look so much better in real life than when you see them in books. You will probably in Florence Italy at some time. Make sure to see the Uffizi Gallery. It is one of the most awesome galleries in Italy. Make a reservation if you can. If you go there you will see works by Botticelli (who painted alot with gold leaf) and Micholangelo, who's painings are so bright and clear they make your eyes hurt.
