1.say yes to vinyl! the breadth of the sound trumps other formats; who wants to hear digitally approximated music, anyway? screw computers and go analog!
2.yes to neutral milk hotel! that record is terrible in its beauty! since you're buying vinyl, pick that one up for sure, it sounds fantastic. and the artwork i'm pretty sure is meant to be in the larger format.

the artwork is most definately meant for vinyl format. it looks quite amazing.
