I've always been interested in astronomy. I remember many occasions where I would point out constellations when we were hanging out at night, and I also remember telling you about how I used to only read books about astronomy when I was younger.
astronomy is cool. of course, i've only studied it insofar as Ptolemy, Copernicus, and Kepler. all cool, but kepler was kind of unbelievable in his justifications for the movements of the planets, if only the causality. but. that's blah blah blah.
Ptolemy says (i forget where exactly, and i'm going to paraphrase) that if we can look to the heavens and understand and account for the movements of the heavenly bodies, then we can look inwards and bring an analogous order to our souls. man alive.
