What is sad is that scenesters are unavoidable anywhere you go if you are into the same music. I don't mind them because it's fun when you get to take out any aggression on them. A few of my personal experiences of scenester destruction

Comeback Kid Stretch Armstrong and Evergreen Terrace

The Locust and Dillinger were my personal favorites because the pit was explosive and all the little 13 year old mtv "punks?" were there and they got to see what a real show is like. Sorry kids, but bands with talent don't jump up and down at the same time and also don't have to pump Madball through the pa just to get people to throwdown for a video. Reference to AFI. And fuck anyone who tries to tell me about AFI. I know...I listened to them since 8th grade and stopped when they released their latest cd because it was unoriginal trash. Pure unadulterated garbage.

whatever, rob. it's not about original. it's about entertaining... and real. but with music, mostly entertaining. originality is still to be praised. unoriginality is just not to be berated.

I'm not chastising unoriginality at all. Hell if I did that I wouldn't listen to half of the music I do because basically how most people find music is this
1-Find a band
2-Search Similar Artists
3-Listen to that similar band
There usually are differences but the point is that they are obviously not original. What I meant by calling afi's latest unoriginal was that considering if you listen to all of their cds in order you can hear the huge differences and elements that they implemented that they came up with. Not just going with what is hot and what their label told them they should do.
