5w3d and all seems to be well.  Had the blood draw this morning and just found the results online.  HCG beta level was 7914.  Numbers definitely went up, big jump from last week.  From what I can find out online, at 24 dpo the average is 2637, with a typical range from 540- 10,000  IU/L ( Read more... )

For a low risk pregnancy homebirth is as safe as being in hospital. And if something started looking unusual then you would just transfer to hospital. At the end of the day you are the one giving birth so you should have the final say...

Plus with it being your third baby labour could go pretty quickly in which case it would be safer to stay at home rather than risk having the baby in the car

Oh I know, but Kyle will not budge on this, ever. I need his support, 100%, he's "my person". We have a long time to talk during the pregnancy though... 8 or 9 long months ahead!

Woo hoo!! I have been looking for an update! Glad you got great results, and as much as the nausea sucks, I would expect you to have it based on your other experiences. It just kinda makes things sound like they're going "as they should" even though I don't wish the misery on you. I would think since Ariana wasso early that you'd want to be in a hospital? No one here will do a home birth before 37w. I accounting down the ways to where I wouldn't end up in the hospital although I likely have much longer than that to wait!

Thank you. I did expect my old friend, nausea, to make a return appearance, I was just really hopeful I'd give it a miss this time. I went last night to get the Diclectin prescription filled ($280 later-- thankfully my plan covered over $200 of it) and took some before bed, giving me the best sleep I've had in weeks...

It is the same here, before 37 weeks the midwives would insist on a hospital birth, as it is considered "preterm". No guarantees this one would be early again, but my midwife did say to be prepared by 35 weeks. I am in love with the idea of the kids being able to be present, if they chose to, during a home birth, and crawling right into my own bed afterwards, but with the early labour last time and Kyle's absolute fear of birthing at home, I think that dream is a long shot! But we have lots more time to talk and research...

Here the midwives allow you to go home from the hospital within 2 hours. Maybe it's the same with your midwives!
