Pynchon follow-up

Thinking of the Chums of Chance and their airship the Inconvenience, I imagine the silly airship of the Drei Knäbchen (jung, schön, hold, und weise) in Ingmar Bergman's 1975 film version of Mozart's Magic Flute (Trollflojten, as Bergman titled it).

Way to not immediately go to Miyazaki, who has all the imagery for the word "airship" planted pretty damn firmly in my head.

Also, if I ever own a hippie bus, I'm pretty sure Pynchon's just handed me the perfect name for it...
