Its occupant is in no way opposed to free drinks.

"For me? You shouldn't have." He smiles faux-warmly, in an overly familiar way that seems to come as naturally to him as breathing, like everyone is his very best friend (and thus no one is). Hooking the drink with two fingers and drawing it in, he adds, "I hope you'll stay a moment, I've been cruelly abandoned."

...Alternatively, his date has gone to the restroom and has barely been gone a minute, but never mind that. The woman he brought is just arm candy - perfectly nice, but well aware she's serving a purpose, and when Jack has a chance to talk to the club's newest performer, that purpose is to be elsewhere.

The smile is one she's seen on other people before, though he seems unusually well-practiced; her own smile in return is more genuine, perhaps, and she obliges by perching just on the edge of the table, finding herself an empty expanse against which to lean. "Well, we can't have our patrons getting bored, now, can we. I'm Norea."

Which he may or may not already know, but a personal introduction is only polite.

"Jack Benjamin," comes his response in kind, which she may already know for entirely different reasons. "You're an angel," he thanks her, leaning an elbow on the table and balancing his chin on the edge of his knuckles to consider her.

"I haven't seen you around - I'm sure I'd remember if I had. How long have you been gracing the place with your presence?"

There's a pause before she answers - it's very brief because she's very good at controlling her reactions to things (she talked to Raylan for hours and it was a lot of fun, for fuck's sake, this shouldn't trip her up) - but she leans forward just a titch to verify through the dark-red lights of Alkahest that he's got the face she recognizes, smiling.

"So you are. And so I am!" A joke that's only funny in her own head, probably, but it doesn't look too strange on the surface. "I've only been working here for a little over a month. I take it you're a regular?"
