If one happens to be channel surfing in the video feeds today, one might come across something unusual: a happy Castiel. One might in fact say a blissful Castiel. He is, in fact, smiling.
He is sans-jacket for a change, dressed only in rumpled slacks and shirt. [That he has only recently put them back on after some hours of... diversion is a detail perhaps less immediately obvious, but no less true.]
If one's video feed audio quality is good enough, the shower of the motel room's tiny bathroom can be heard running in the background, while Castiel's off-key whistling mostly distracts from it in the foreground. He stops whistling to hum a few bars, then actually sings, "Theeere's a bathroom on the right~" aloud, then goes back to humming.
Why yes, for those of you wondering, that was Castiel's butchering lovely rendition of CCR's Bad Moon Rising. Not his fault he heard the lyrics wrong, shut up. And it happens to merely be the first song that popped into his endorphin-laden head, so he can't be faulted for its lack of precise aptness to the situation.
Still humming, Cas leaves the room and heads down the hall, aiming for the kitchen. He and Dean have both worked up an appetite, and the idea of bringing pie back to surprise Dean after his shower sounds like a marvelous one.
