Are you vain?
No, as long as my mother doesn't die of shame at the sight of me, all is well.
How important is your outward appearance?
I like to be clean and presentable, but I don't care beyond that.
Do you notice how other people look and what they are wearing?
I notice what women wear.
Describe your favourite outfit.
I like riding breeches and a jumper. Comfortable, practical and tidy.
Describe your mate's (best friend, etc) favourite outfit if they were to choose it.
Emma likes to wear simple skirts and jumpers or blouses.
Describe your favourite outfit to see your mate (best friend, etc.) in.
I just think she looks great in anything. She has a gorgeous royal blue dress that really brings out the colour of her eyes.
Questionnaire #26 -- Sleep
Where do you sleep?
I can sleep almost anywhere, but usually in my bedroom or Emma's bedroom at Whiteturrets, in the Groom's Cottage, in my old room at Dunveagan Stud or, presently, the room I share with Emma at Aisling Geal.
When do you sleep (time of day)?
Night.
How many hours a day of sleep do you need?
I can survive on three, flourish on five.
What's your favourite position to sleep in?
Cuddled up close to Emma with her head on my chest.
What do you wear to sleep?
I sleep as nature intended.
Do you like a lot of covers, or a few, or none at all?
If it's cold, a lot, in the summer, a sheet.
Questionnaire #27 -- life and death
1. Who (or what) do you live for?
For Emma and for our baby (due this autumn)
2. Who (or what) would you die for?
Emma, my child, any member of my family, Sean, Ireland and my horses or my dog.
3. In general, what do people think of you upon first impression?
They either think I'm charming or they think I'm an arrogant Mick.
4. What do people think of you after they get to know you better?
They either become devoted friends who think I'm kind, loyal, creative and sweet or deadly enemies who think I'm proud, selfish, sarcastic and unreasonable.
5. If you were to die right now, today, what kind of legacy would you leave behind?
Apart from the great wealth I obtained on marriage, a method of training horses that uses their natural inclinations rather than trying to overpower their will.
6. What kind of legacy would you *want* to leave behind?
I think the one I have is fine. I'm not a man who changes the world.

Do you have any chronic or acute medical conditions?
No. I was anaemic for a while, but Emma made me eat better.

Dr Gary Sheppard, but Emma doesn't like doctors and we mostly stay out of his way.

I love them. They ask questions no-one else thinks about.

I have an unborn one who will be out in the world by November.

YES!

Sitting on my pony, Connemara Seaspray. I must have been 2 or 3.

Ganpa Ronan (Dad's father) or Mamó (Mam's mother).
Name one thing that made it clear to you that were no longer a child. How old were you at the time?
I'm no longer a child??? I'm only 37! I've got a good ten years of silliness yet!
