Wow.

Okay, uhm, I don't think the people on this network have much say in you being here.

And, even if the people who brought any of us here were available for negotiations. What exactly would you negotiate? You...don't exactly have any leverage here.

You are correct. I do not possess any tangible leverage. However, my Captain holds no acceptance of "no-win" situations and will not desist until he has retrieved me.

It is preferably if my situation was resolved before his arrival.

I see the others have told you about our rather unique situation.

Right now the best people to talk to are either Aya Brea who is working to restart the local police, and Diego Armano who's been here longer than anyone.

Oh, or Harry Dresden, I understand he's a pretty sharp fellow.

Just a warning though, it's highly likely you're in an alternate universe, so things may be different than you expect.

Live long an prosper

I appreciate your unvarnished response and the warning. I am beginning to detect dissimilarities, the kind of which can only be explained by the existence of a parallel world. It is...unexpected but not a situation I will not adapt to.

I will attempt to make contact with the people you have identified. Is there any further information you feel I should possess?

Okay, there are a large number of small insectoid creatures running around. Avoid them at all costs, and if they bite you get into contact with me immediately, I'll put you in touch with the right people.

There are also three massive creatures that need to be avoided at all costs, they are the ones that initially destroyed the city.

Finally, it's possible our captors are reading these posts, so be careful what you say.

Yeah, that'll work. Heh, if you manage to actually talk to the bastards, let 'em know their ass is mine when they finally decide to show themselves.

I apologize. I had assumed from your wording that this was the case.

Wow.

Leonard Nimoy. In the flesh.

It's definitely an honor to meet you, although I don't think we're at one of those conventions, so you don't have to be all in-character.

I believe you are mistaken. I am Spock, not the person named Leonard Nimoy. Furthermore, your assessment of my identity does not take into account that Leonard is not a Vulcan name.

Perhaps testing for intelligent life should have been the first course of action.

Perhaps. Although one may argue that casting an encompassing network broadcast would suffice as such a test. Your observation hints at prior experience.

The people here are rarely of any help.

Is that so? Perhaps you are not asking the right questions.
