i know that sounds greedy but sometimes i want to know its ok to be a little selfish.
Why does that sound greedy? Caring about your friends and doing things for them is great, but sometimes you just need a little "me" time. We can't always do everything for everyone else.

In the end, you need to make sure that you're taking care of yourself more than others, even if they may be your best of friends. It's important to not allow your best interests to fall to the wayside while attempting to be as selfless and generous as possible. The result of this would be unhappiness and discontentment.

yes. it's completely okay to be selfish when you know it's what you need to do.
i'm all for caring about others, being self sacrificing, etc.
i think those are amazing qualities.
but i also think you have to take of yourself, and you have to be okay before you can take care of everyone else.
so when you're worrying so much about everyone else that you forget to worry about yourself - that's when you need to take a step back and say "okay, what do i need to do to make me okay?"
and then do it.
