Took me 3 years to find this. I refrained while the late, great Jonathan Frid was still alive-knew he was never comfortable with the roll of Barnabas so I kept my DS/Barnabas Collins trolling to a minimum.

Liked your synopsis very much. And you have good taste in the JF icon pics (my heart began beating again seeing all his pics w/ the DS revival).

If you're still here, any thoughts on the movie? I was a rabid DS fan since I was about 4 yrs. old (and only had eyes for Barnabas, though that Quentin fellow was pretty handsome, but was no JF). There were things in the 2012 movie I didn't care for, but overall I liked it. I'm not one of those middle age ppl. who puts down everything/everyone young. I enjoyed TOS, couldn't get into the two attempted remakes, but liked the comedy angle of the new movie. I also enjoy the humorous YouTube parodies and annotations (lots of love mixed w/ the laughter, always a winning combination).
