*flaps at vaguely* i can't really party, as i have to rush off to uni because i overslept (again :||). some people really like fic comms. i guess it is a personal choice... i think it's better not to have your personal journal friended for fic, but idk.....
It's okay that you can't party properly. Your very presence is full of awesome.
Fic-wise, I think everything has its pros and cons. Fic comms are kind of good 'cause they encourage friending but without like enabling the author to stalk them or whatever but they do seem a bit self-important, maybe? though idk. Fic journals seem to be neat and easy generally & they mean you can sort of separate yourself from your fic to a certain extent. But, yeah, if you work out of your personal journal, I think you have to not friend people for fic and just rely on people getting to you through x-posting.
i think fic comms are only self-important when you lock things, forcing people to join them. fic journals have the advantage of filters. stalk the friend-ofs? i neeever do that! i don't even look at people's profiles when they friend bluetent, anymore XD;;
the problem with working from one journal is that people will friend you anyway. people just...add people who post to fandom comms. it's ridic. lots of noobs around don't really get how lj friending works (then again, i don't think anyone fully understands how lj friending is supposed to work).

I shall but I promised mimei that she could be my first friend so I'll have to wait until she's added me. XD;
