home for the holidays

Back at home for the holidays. Running errands and chilling out. Trying to finish off my Christmas knitting.

I need to make a serious to-do list for this break. In the meantime, have a meme:

Name a fandom and I will tell you my...Favorite character(s ( Read more... )

ASOIAF! I asked everyone this but it's the only fandom that I follow at the moment.

Hooray for holiday breaks. :)

I was sure someone would ask ASOIAF. ;D

Favorite character(s): So many. Theon, Theon, Theon, and, um, Stannis, Jon, the Greyjoys, Dagmer Cleftjaw, the cock-joke-factory-that-is Tormund, Davos.
Least Favorite character(s): I can't think of many characters I actively dislike. I dislike Ramsay's actions but I don't mind him as a character. Kind of bored of reading about Daenerys, to be honest.
5 Favorite ships (canon or non-canon): Theon/Robb, Robb/Jon, Jon/Stannis, Jon/just-about-every-male-character-tbh, Ramsay Bolton/horrible death.
Character(s) I find most attractive: What is this question? They are in books, I am not sexually attracted to them ( ... )

That's how I feel about Ramsay. I hate what he does but he's horribly entertaining and so much fun to write because he's such an idiot.

Who is your most badass character? :)

Such an idiot.

Ah, I totally missed that question! I was planning on going back and answering it when I read my answers through but... hmm. Okay, most badass, that is a tough one because there are so many different kinds of badassery. Dagmer is pretty effing badass in the traditional sense but someone like, say, Rodrik the Reader is badass because he's really politically canny (same can be said for Roose and Tywin).

Favorite character(s): Starbuck all the way! I think she's my favourite female character of all time. She is the perfect mix of bolshy and vulnerable.
Least Favorite character(s): The characters in BSG are so real that I don't really have least favourites - some of them are bad people but all of them are interesting to watch ( ... )

Ugh, Christmas knitting!!! I still have one last scarf to finish and then I am done knitting things for other people! XD

LOL at your answer about Theon's penis... And d'awww, I'd adopt Tommen too. He needs to be taken out of the clutches of those crazy assed women surrounding him!

I only have half a hat to go so I'm not doing too badly. I am probably going to see the recipient before xmas though so am trying to hurry it along!

You never know with GRRM, right? Ramsay might have just lopped off one of Theon's balls. Tommen needs to be adopted before they ruin the poor lamb.

You're lucky! My scarf is barely six inches right now. But at least the yarn is worsted and I still have until Saturday to finish it off. Good luck to us knitters!!! lol

I firmly believe that Theon still has some parts necessary to have happy times with someone and that he's just psychologically incapacitated. Hopefully, now that he's out of Ramsay's clutches, he'll make 'it' work, lol! XD

Sounds like you'll need to clock some serious TV hours to get the scarf done. Good excuse to watch stuff if you've got the time though. ;D

I really hope Theon is still capable of ~reproduction simply because otherwise Asha is highly likely to become some kind of Greyjoy rent-a-womb. \: But, yeah, I'm really looking forward to seeing how Theon's arc goes now that he's free of Ramsay.

I love all your answers, especially the John love. And I agree about the writers screwing John over. For the past four seasons or so, every single mention of John has been negative. Like, suddenly he's the most horrifying father ever and even Dean talks badly about him. It makes me so mad, especially since it just gives more fuel to the assholes in fandom who think hating on John is cool. Main reason I stay away from that fandom. I can't deal with people hating on John, I get ridiculously protective about the man. ;)

John is the BEST. The whole ~John never broke in hell~ thing was pretty positive but, yeah, the closest we tend to get to a neutral/positive reference to John now is when they say how similar Sam is to him - which most often actually seems to paint them both in a fairly bad light. Dean's completely flipped opinion on John just seems bloody weird a lot of the time though, I agree, ugh. I like him so much more when, as in s1&2, he's well-intentioned but not always in the right.

I really loved the Christmas episode but you probably have to be in the right mood for it... Jeff/Britta, blah. And I used to ship Jeff/Annie until it happened and then it lost its appeal. /fickle

I think I probably would have enjoyed the xmas ep if my housemate hadn't been so weirded out by it. Normally, it's great to watch Community with her but she's just so creeped out by all things Glee-related and Community playing on it didn't help. XD

I don't mind Jeff/Britta or Jeff/Annie either way. I doubt many Jeff/Annie shippers like the way the show's ~realised their ship though. Oh dear.
