Up in the Cafe -- May/Dax PG-15 (SD)

Feb 24, 2004 02:42

May pouted as Amber pulled Jay away from her. Hey... "Not fair." She then turned and looked around, only now missing her glass and the bottle of tequila. "Where'd they go?" She looked up at Dax and smiled, her eyes half closed as she leaned on the bar. "You know, you really are too attractive for your own good." She whispered, leaning in as ( Read more... )

Dax cocked his eyebrow at her again, she was so cute, what was this? He'd have to get her drunk more often, this was too much. Dax stood up and poured a few shots of this and that, remixing a few drinks, handing them to the people who asked for them before wiping the bar down and finishing up that Sex on the Beach he'd made earlier. He pulled the tequila out of the cabinet and hid it behind his back, there was only a third of it left anyway. Dax moved around the bar to May, wrapping his arm around her shoulders, "Come on sweet thing, let's go have a chat," he said, moving towards the stairs. He waggled the tequila bottle at her as they moved away, wiggling his eyebrows a bit. Dax led May up the stairs, though she didn't really seem to need too much help, and when they reached the cafe, Dax moved around the couch there to sit down, motioning at the place next to him, waiting for her to sit down, placing the tequila bottle next to him.

May allowed herself to be led upstairs. Laughing inside at how he thought the tequila bottle was obviously an incentive for her to follow him. She sat down, leaning against the back of the couch. She smiled at him in a vague sort of way. "So what did you have in mind?"

Dax narrowed his eyes and moved a bit closer to her, picking up the tequila bottle and looking at it's label, "Oh, nothing in particular. Just you know, whatever," he shrugged and opened the bottle, holding it out at her, "Ladies first, want some?" He hadn't brought cups, who needed cups? Drinking from the bottle worked, but if May insisted, he'd get up and get cups. He was feeling a buzz in his head, his vision was doing this blurry thing, but it didn't bother him and he was still kind of coherent, at least, he thought so. Truth was he wanted to get her away from the party, being alone earlier had been really cool, and the party had been fun to a point, but Dax wanted some alone time with May. If that made him seem kind of...obsessed or something, well, whatever, if she didn't like him, she'd leave, he knew that much.

May's smile became smug. She leaned in, her fingers sliding over his hand. She kissed him lightly, before backing away, taking the bottle with her. She tilted it back, only taking a very small amount. Wincing a bit. It had been awhile since she had drunk straight from the bottle. And straight tequila...well...she had done that once...right now she couldn't remember the outcome...She leaned her chin on the fist holding the bottle, still smiling as she watched him.

Dax moaned when she pulled away again, softly, it escaped him before he could stop it, but when she threatened not to stop next time, he half moaned half whined, deep in his throat. She was teasing him again, and it was proving to work him up completely. He licked his lips and watched her face fall, what had he said, puzzlement washed over his face, confusion. When she mentioned that name, the Guardian, however, he felt a sinking feeling in his stomach. How had he not known that? How could he sleep back there? He couldn't, it was creepy, too creepy even for Dax. He shivered and wrapped his arms around himself just a little, tugging at the sleeves of his shirt nervously. "I didn't know that, that's kind of icky," he said, making a face. There probably weren't any free rooms in the Mall either, he almost wanted to sleep in the carpark again, anything but that. How very ironic, he thought to himself, shaking it off. His mind was put instantly on stop when she smiled at him, making him smile back, she was captivating in so many ways, it ( ... )

May shivered even at that light touch. "Well, my room's downstairs where the party's still going on." She laughed softly, tilting her head down and looking up through her eyelashes. "So we have to wait for the party to end..." She wondered how long that really was going to take..."And by the way...when I'm in a good mood it's usually a mixed drink. Because it's more fun to watch others get sopping drunk. And when I'm in a bad mood it doesn't matter. As long as it's the strongest thing the bartendar's got." She referred to the question he had asked her at the bar almost an hour ago. If she didn't try and start a conversation she was going to kiss him again, and if he kept stroking the hair at the base of her neck she wasn't going to care either way!

Dax nodded knowingly, ahhh that was it, she wanted to have fun but didn't want everyone to know exactly what she was up to and who with. He briefly wondered if that bothered him but it really didn't, maybe May was just a private person, and the Mallrats were nosey and she didn't feel like being queen of gossip town tomorrow. He looked at her curiously when she started talking about mixed drinks, dawning on him that she was answering his question from, well a while now, and he smiled amusedly. He listened to her explain and nodded, "I see, and if you're in a bad mood and get the strongest thing out there, does that put you in a good mood?" Dax moved his hand so that he was grasping the back of her neck, gently massaging it, rubbing softly, trying to go easy, he didn't want to hurt her. He moved his hand down to her exposed shoulder and rubbed there, then let his finger graze the skin there between her shoulder and collarbone. He moved back to her neck, rubbing, moving his fingers into her hair and rubbing at the base of her neck, he ( ... )

May closed her eyes and leaned back into the gentle massage, feeling her whole body begin to tingle again, a soft moan escaping her lips. With an effort she tried to focus on the coversation, opening her eyes and looking straight at him. "Oh, no. When I'm in a bad mood and I drink I usually end up in some self pitying funk. It's not a very pretty sight." She tried to shrug him off with a giggle. "Will you stop that, naughty!"
