The appointments are piling up
Yesterday we scheduled appointments back to back - going right from the Country Club where we discussed details for the reception to the Italian restaurant where we nailed down plans for the rehearsal dinner. The kids did their part - Karl saw two movies, went out to lunch, and Erika and Alex made him dinner on Sunday night. Then proceeded a 4 hour discussion of theology and life - dad's favorite activity!
It was so late by the time we got home, and I was hurtin so much, that I gave him a raincheck for his gift. He was sad, but after the meds kicked in I didn't care so much. I'm really getting callous as the years go by. I really will try to make it up to him tonight. Really. Or maybe I'll just slip HIM an ambian and tell him we had a good time. He'll never remember!
