It happens; at least no one was hurt when they put this plane to rest.

Well now that it's gone, it's time for some previously unheard of rich uncle to kick and leave you a plane and a silo of fuel.

Is that the plane that's in the collage picture you gave me? Sigh ...

I don't believe so, but I honestly can't remember which pictures are in that collage; I know the one to Petaluma was 9849L, and the one of me looking at the POH was a 172SP (which was why I was looking at the POH; I was so used to flying 172s at that point, I had forgotten something); there might be one of 21J in the other two photos, though.

How I did enjoy the making of her featured film, "Fly Me To Modesto" with such great, shaky cinematography! Ill miss her butterscotch livery.

Aw, it's always sad to lose one. I felt unaccountably disturbed when the plane I flew my first acro in got ground-looped into severe airframe damage oblivion.

Yah, that's always... disquieting.

I remember when 737WF, a 172-trainer that I really liked and was renting quite often bit the dust.

Whenever this happens, a small, but very distinct, part of me says "What if you had been PIC at the time..."

I think that's why it's "unaccountable."

There's also the eerie component of it that comes when you see a plane you've done acro in with its wings folded up. That's not a comfortable happy feeling.
