Google maps now has Walking Directions in beta. I tried out a couple random walks around downtown, and the routes they have aren't too bad (though the walk from Roots to Bailey's was less than optimal).

I am pleased.

It gave me walking directions from my house to Portland... now that would be a long-ass walk.

Apparently the only bridge you can walk across is Burnside.

you've attempted other routes (like something that should definitely go over hawthorne...but doesn't)? now i'm going to have to try it out.

I like having it give you walking directions, to lets say .... Canada to Mexico... "about 20 days 9 hours"

I tried walking to Hawaii... it wouldn't let me. :)

BUT it let me walk to Anchorage Alaska.
