How long has it been since your surgery? TMI ahead, warning ...

I had an abdominal hysterectomy and tumor removal almost exactly two months ago. At this point my scar, which is quite long, is healed with a somewhat hard layer of scar tissue beneath; there are sections which are kind of numb. There's a little twinge now and again when I move, but nothing painful. The pain subsided, I would say, within 3 weeks, for the most part. If you're more than a month out from surgery and you're experiencing pain or discomfort, I'd talk to your doctor about it. Maybe it's normal for some women, but it wasn't for me.

Well, it's been about 16 weeks, and the surface has healed, and I have the scar tissue underneath, hih is what is giving me the soreness and tenderness.
Hmmm, maybe I will go see the doctor.

Yeah, I really wanted that technique if I was going to have a c-section - I had read up about it, and apparently the recovery for it is better, not to mention that you don't get as many problems with getting the muscles to work again - but unforunately the little man went into distress, so it was an emergency C-secion, as fast as they could get him out.
But since it meant he was alright, it was well worth it. :)
yeah, I might have to go see a doctor, i think - it's really beginning to bugme.
