When our heroes die
My friend Ian died last night. He was 57. He had horrible cancer. He was doing OK and then a few weeks ago, the treatment stopped working. I can't even begin to describe what an amazing man he was. I call him my friend. Really, we were just acquaintances. But he was always wonderful to me and I was privileged to know him
