So I just read that Brittany Murphy passed away at age 32. Which is just... way the hell too young to go. They're saying it was natural causes, but when someone dies at that age of heart failure, it always has to raise some eyebrows.
I don't know, all I can say is Rest In Peace. :(

So I'm sitting here in complete darkness aside from the light of my laptop's screen. Why? Because the universal remote I used for my TV and Satellite receiver randomly quit working for no reason. It wasn't dropped, the batteries are still new, it just quit working randomly. So when I woke up, I had to scramble to get my laptop out so I could see.
And before anyone tells me to turn a light on... NO SHIT, REALLY? I don't HAVE a light in my room. The switch for my room broke close to 10 years ago, and with the way this family functions, we've never gotten it fixed.
So for the time being, I'm going to have to find the manual power button on my TV(it doesn't have control buttons, wonder who's grand idea THAT was?), and just leave it on until I can get a replacement remote. Because with that TV off, my room is PITCH BLACK.
I've said it before and I'll say it again, I'm sick of things just randomly breaking for no reason. I miss the days of electronics that would only stop working if you FORCED them to. By, I dunno, stomping or throwing them. Anymore, things are made to work a handful of years, then break, forcing you to shell out more cash for more cheaply-made shit that'll break in a few more years to continue the cycle.
I guess there's no longer money to be made in constructing things reliably.
Oh, AND... messenger is refusing to log me in, and the error code it gives indicates NO INTERNET CONNECTION AVAILABLE. Seriously? I mean, REALLY? What the hell.
