Yep!

Though in the face of Genesis, I was more inclined to listen to their work after seeing them listed as an influence of Dream Theater.

Well, I got into most bands like The Who, Genesis, and Eric Clapton because my friend recommended and I was willing to change my taste in music.

I'm not into metal NEARLY as much as I was back in the day, but I still do listen to it. Like Dream Theater's "Raw Dog" that you posted. :)
