End Scene

Today I have finally recognized the most tragic death of all. I do not know if I will ever recover. For certain, I will never be the same. I hope someday this tear will pass and I will be able to wipe them away. I did not want to lose this hope.
So it should not go.

Emma -- whenever you need to talk to anyone, I'll be here. You know my number and you can always call me, no matter what the circumstances are. I'll always be willing to talk to you. Don't ever think you'd be troubling me, either, because you wouldn't be.

And there's something about the song "Shout" that's been resonating a lot with me recently, too. It's just a great, great song. I love Tears For Fears in general, just because their songs always manage to speak to me no matter what. "Shout," "Everybody Wants to Rule the World," "Mad World"...

My favorite lyric from them is from the song "The Working Hour": This is the working hour -- we are paid by those who learn by our mistakes.
I just love that line. It's so haunting yet...truthful. Sometimes it really does feel like you're the only one fucking up and everyone else is having a jolly time, learning from the mistakes you're making.
