I just did a huge ass oil pastel emotion release. Holy fuck. Okay, the paper i used was four times larger than what i'm used to using. FOUR TIMES. And with oil pastel comes smudging. I smudge the entire thing. THERE ARE RAW SPOTS ON MY THUMB ( Read more... )

Do oil pastel on canvas, but don't smudge, do all the blending with the actual pastels. IT'S CRAZY.

I will have to do that. I don't really know how to blend without fingers...i've never tried. And i can't use it for emotional release, because that's part of the therepy. Bent over, emotions screaming, holding down the pad of paper with my foot, and using my hands fully connect me to what it is I am creating...it's part of the therepy of it.
Have you ever done it? I'm curious as to how it looks now.
