Don't know whether this one is real or not (this is the first I've heard of it), but better safe than sorry, right?

There's nothing about it on the Symantec (Norton) website. I'd guess it's a hoax.

Eh, entirely possible. But I figured this was mildly less intrusive/annoying than spamming people's in-boxes. (And Murphy's Law clearly states that the one I don't take seriously will be the one that bites me in the tush...)

i think i got an email a month or so ago called just that...it did indeed have a powerpoint presentation in it. i assumed that the friend who sent it to me was having a very happy day and wanted to share it. i looked at it briefly and then deleted it. it may well have been a horrible virus that could have eaten the computers insides and left it nothing more than a paper weight. luckily it was on the college computer and not my own so i'd be fine either way. the college system seems to be fine too (any failing that now happens in the RB LRC computer systems has nothing to do with me)...there's another L word for you all.
