I am indeed in Ireland, but it's after 10:30pm on Sunday night here, and everything (except the pubs) has closed. Believe you me, I would not be in here during daylight hours!! Anywho...
1) SOMETHING RANDOM: Remember our plan of how to pay for grad school?? Heeheehee...! Don't forget that one! 2) CHALLENGE: I challenge you to come to FW and party with me and mah peeps. You dig? 3) COLOR: Forest green. 4) WHAT I LIKE ABOUT YOU: You project this aura of calm and composure that I've always sort of envied. You are, by turns, an old soul (wise and contemplative) and a child at heart (margarita nights, and Kim's and Jenn's love to PLAY!). It's a wonderful balance. :-) 5) MEMORY: I don't remember what the first was, but I remember being in Stage Movement with you first semester at SFA and wanting to work with you on partner stuff, because you always seemed like you knew what you were doing (you did). 6) ANIMAL: A swan. 7) I WANTED TO ASK... If you could go back in time and give your college self some advice, what would you say to
1) RANDOM: You're one of the funniest people I know. You always make me giggle (in a good way)! 2) CHALLENGE: I challenge you to go buy yourself something purely frivolous and fun with some of that pay-raise money! (And then tell me what ya bought!) 3) COLOR: Bright turquoise-y sorta blue-green... 4) WHAT I LIKE ABOUT YOU: I have no idea whether you always feel it or not, but you have always seemed so confident and assured, and I have always kinda envied that. 5) MEMORY: Amy Jackson was introducing me to people at Summer Workshop, and I remember her pointing you out and saying that you were a good actress. 6) ANIMAL: 7) I WANTED TO ASK... What do you miss most about good ol' SFA Theatre?
1) RANDOM: You are NOT Don Quixote, the Lord of La Mancha. Let's just leave it at that. 2) CHALLENGE: I challenge you call your little sister. But, um, wait till Thursday or so to do that... 3) COLOR: Black. 4) WHAT I LIKE ABOUT YOU: I love your total devotion to your friends and to your art. Even when it isn't easy, you never give up on the ones (and shows) you love. 5) MEMORY: I remember you and Ariane talking after the majors/minors meeting or something or other (when y'all realized you were both from Corpus), and you announcing that you were adopting us. 6) ANIMAL: I'm gonna concur with Kim and say koala on this. 7) I WANTED TO ASK... If you had complete financial backing to put up any show you wanted, but you had to start tomorrow, what show would you choose?
Titanic. Yeah, Titanic the musical though my productions of Romeo and Juliet and Midsummer Nights Dream run a close second.
I want to do R&J set in Colonial India. I want to do MND set in 19th China and the fairy's are Dragons and the Mechanicals are an actual "ENGLISH" group of touring actors.
I think I'd choose titanic because it would be the biggest challenge for me. How do you do a historical musical and still make it theatrical? How do you ssink a ship on stage? How do you make it epic and theatrical and stil maintain the realism. It wouldn't be the hardest show, it would meerly be the biggest challenge to me.
Ireland indeed. 'Tis very cool. No kissing the Blarney Stone, though (I heard the locals tinkle on it...).
1) RANDOM: Your icon makes me giggle. Heehee! 2) CHALLENGE: I challenge you to re-read one of your favorite childhood books, just for grins and giggles, and to bring back fond memories. 4) WHAT I LIKE ABOUT YOU: You have a wonderful sense of perseverance when you really want to fight for something. You're also a very talented playwright! 5) MEMORY: I remember going over to your apartment with people (Tori and Matt, maybe?) and reading one of your scripts and joking around and being dumb together. It was good times. 6) ANIMAL: A gecko lizard. 7) I WANTED TO ASK... If you could meet (and converse with) any famous historical figure for 30min., who would you want to meet and why?
Geckos are cool little animals. They're well adapted to their environments. They shed their skins, which is sort of like a re-birth. (Snakes shed their skins, too, but I hate snakes with a fiery burning passion, so you couldn't have been a snake.)
I don't know. It was the first thing to come to mind, I guess.
1) RANDOM: Poodle Cakes!! ('Nuff said.) ;-) 2) CHALLENGE: I challenge you to try a new alcoholic beverage that you've never tried (and tell me what it was, and whether it was any good!). 3) COLOR: Dark red. 4) WHAT I LIKE ABOUT YOU: You are so incredible generous and giving to those you care about--you go out of your way to help others, even if there's nothing in it for you, and that's pretty rare. 5) MEMORY: I remember talking to you at strike for some show or another, and you asking about APO stuff and what it took to get in, and being really impressed that you were so interested in it and willing to work for it. Then I remember you giving me a ride back to my dorm, and I remember thinking "She seems like a good egg. She'll be all right." :-) 6) ANIMAL: A cat (what else??). ;-) 7) I WANTED TO ASK... If someone was going to write your biography, what would you want it to be called?
