It's over.

I have finished Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.

Holy.  Crap.

I'm not as hard-core as I used to be.  I had to stop for, like, naps and food and stuff.  And walking the dog.  I think it took about 14 hours.  And absorbing a LOAD of...  Yeah.  Still processing.  More after I get a chance to re-read and absorb.

Holy crap.

Agreed. For whatever reason it was, I didn't want to tear through this book like I had the others. I wanted to soak in and process as I read. I chuckled, I kinda cried, and closed the book completely satisfied

I get what you mean about not wanting to tear through it so fast. I started fast (excitement and all), but after those first two deaths it kinda sunk in that this was the end... and I suddenly didn't wanna blaze through it so fast. Funny, that.

And yes, finishing it was oddly satisfying. Still a couple of loose ends I wish she could've tied up, but life doesn't always get closure with a pretty red bow, so I'm okay with it. And it ended the way it ought to have ended. The Boy Who Lived, lived. "All was well."

Man I love being right. Especially when I'm guessing

(See Sara's post a few days ago, in which you dashed my theory)

LOL Dude, I SO did not "dash your theory!" Sara was WAY harsher on it than I was. In fact, my exact words were that I didn't "completely buy into the theory that Harry is a horcrux...but it's still a possibility." Sara stated categorically that Harry was not a horcrux, and said the scar wasn't the source of any powers at all! I did try to cover my ass a little!
;-)

But yes, enjoy your right-ness of speculation. I foolishly allowed my heart (wishful thinking hoping Harry WASN'T a horcrux) to affect my judgment of the situation. I tip my hat to your discerning eye.

And I was still right that she didn't kill him off. He may have been pseudo-dead for a minute there, but he didn't stay that way. What's that line from Princess Bride? About how even "mostly dead is still partly alive"? Not that that has anything to do with anything. Just thought it was funny.

Wow, that made almost no sense whatsoever. I think maybe I should sleep now.

The willing victim had to come into place, I didn't think she would go the WHOLE Jesus route but I did think that it would come into play.

And dont worry that's all the gloating I'll give to you. Sara gets a whole lot more. I'm not right very often, but man when I am...

And right you were! I was right about Regulus's middle name. That's as close as I got. XD
