US Size 9 (5.5mm) DPN's or long circular for Magic Loop (or size needed to make gauge)

I'm really sorry but I'm Australian and 14 and I'd really like my Mum to make me this hat but she is being a pain and won't make it for me without Australian measurements. Could you please help me?

Oh Goodness, I'm sorry, I missed this comment! The pattern on Ravelry should have measurements in cm for you, but here you go anyways:

Materials:
5.5mm DPN's or long circular for Magic Loop (or size needed to make gauge)
3.5mm needles
Approx 137-183 meters black worsted weight yarn
Approx 22 meters flesh-colored DK or sock yarn
Scrap amount of brown DK/sock yarn
Darning needle

Gauge: 18 st and 18 rows = 10cm in unstretched 2x2 rib.

6" tail, and 6" length before brow bind off = 15.25 cm

That should be all you need!
