So here's 濤声 from
ARCHE. I had intended to post this before Phenomenon, maybe even before 空谷の跫音, but something about it had stalled me. Now that both are done, this one flowed more freely.
So, the lyrics are from the booklet directly, romaji, translation are done by me. Notes are at the end of the post.
If you want to share this, please don't repost without linking back to this post, and leave me a message if you do, that would be very nice of you.
Tousei

Can you get closer to your ideals tomorrow, when you won't notice? [1]
A common sense where you pretended to not notice [2]
Yesterday's audible screams (1)
A single drop that fell into a small world (2)
There still is no understanding to its meaning
But the true feelings that the lukewarm, deep crimson depicts
Yes, I … (see 1)
The「words」that tell the heart [3] of you whom I loved goodbye [4]
Touched by a gentle wind that will close, [5]
changing into your colour [6]
Yesterday's audible screams
A single drop that fell into a small world
There still is no understanding to its meaning
But the true feelings that the lukewarm, deep crimson depicts
Yes, I …
To the feelings that I hid deep down in my heart,
a gentle smile and a pulsation [7]
notes
[1] It doesn't specifically say "your ideals", it could be "the ideals", which and whosever ideals.
[2] For example, because it's easier to pretend you don't notice someone in dire need than to reach out to them.
[3] Mune literally is the "chest", however it often stands in for when "heart" would be used in English. Like 胸が苦しい, mune ga kurushii - lit. "my chest hurts", usually "my heart aches".
[4] What might also be of interest here is that literally, the words "tell toward the heart", there is a strong sense of direction. You can't really do that in English, but it kind of feels to me like he tried to "fling" those words somewhere into direction heart of the other person. Also note that this could be just one word.
[5] The way this is written would make you think that it's the wind that closes... something? itself?, however with the way these lyrics are written, where it's not clear what really belongs to what, the "going to close" could also stand for itself, however that would be some rather unusual construction. Let's just say the wind closes something we don't know for sure what is.
[6] Iro can be so much. I kept it literal the "colour", but basically it's like the wind changes into the YOU, into the look, complexion, appearance (all meanings of iro, despite rarely used like that) etc. of the YOU; imagine a ghost/memory-wind that touches him. Kyo used this image of something being "coloured in you-colour" before, I seem to faintly remember.
[7] It could also mean that the smile and pulsation are "in" the hidden feelings, or they are done "by" the feelings. It's really very vague to me here, basically the ni could signify either a location, both directional (to) or situational (in), or an agent (by). I chose "in" because I felt that he might have added the smile and pulse to what he's been hiding deep inside his heart. Also, the pulsation here is clearly not any kind of pulsation, but that of the heart or blood.
(1) In this line, the verb is missing, so we don't know for sure what the screams are doing. It's not just that it's not ~there~, it is indeed an incomplete sentence. There is a few lines in this song where he just starts sentences without ending them, leaving us to guess where they would have gone. It adds up to the general feel of despair here.
(2) Theoretically you could read this line as a continuation of the one above, making the scream(s) the single drop. However, since he did pull those two lines apart, I'd be careful with such interpretation.

The lyrics didn't seem so complicated when I looked at them for the first few times, but when I tried translating them, I kept hitting walls |・ω・`) Either way, I did come to understand the lyrics, but they are a little... well... can I just not finish my sentence here? vague and hard to convey in other languages.
Either way, this song is filled with imageries of despair and self-harm. The single drop whose meaning isn't understandable (to the "I"), the deep crimson that is lukewarm, someone loved you tell goodbye, or at least try to (whether they hear or not is an entirely different matter), screams, and the beating pulse with that gentle smile, also the way he never ends the "yes, I…" thing. Yes, I... what? It's not just his true feelings he's kept hidden inside his heart, he hides a lot of meaning of the song itself. What are that person's ideals, what is he trying to say, what with all those screams, also what does the "deep crimson" depict exactly, ... we can guess, and we can picture things, but we will never know for sure. All we know of is the despair and pain.
As ever, feel free to discuss, object, share opinions etc.
