and you may find yourself in another part of the world

The door opens on a rather odd scene: Two humans, a dwarf, a troll, a rather tall skeleton, and a guitar, if a very primitive-looking one, apparently on the edge of a ravine of some sort. It's dusk, but not for much longer, from the looks of it.
It's also... oddly silent. Like some sort of background noise is missing.
this song is over; it's all behind me
And then one of the humans plays a chord on the guitar, and the background noise is safely returned to where it should be.
I was born this very morning singing this here song
Then the skeleton takes the guitar and smashes it on a rock. You'd have to ask him what that's all about, but in any case, it probably does it for the story there.
I may go far if I smash my guitar
But something gets out, and perceives the opening, and gets through the door to the inn before it can close. It lacks a physical presence, at least at the moment, but that can be sorted out later. For now, being here is enough... though on that note, something does need addressing.
Well, it... resonates, since an entity without vocal chords can't quite be said to speak. How did I get here?

(OOC: And this is the inaugural plot post! Get the bug here if you so desire, or from anyone who gets the bug here. Or just let your character go '...do what?' It's up to you!
For tag maintenance: the plot tag really ought to do the music fine. It doesn't really need its own, as such.)
