I just saw someone claim that there is no such thing as AIDS, and that there is no scientific evidence to support it.

Aids exists. I'm not sure what causes it and question some of the paths being taken looking for a cure but people die from it.

I have a big problem with the attacks leveled against people who've questioned the conventional wisdom of the path aids research has taken.

No, they aren't even acknowleding the existence of the disease. They claim it does not exist period. Not that the research into cures/prevention is bad but that its less real than three headed two legged unicorns.

People like that exist, usually religious of some ilk. There's indications aids has been around for centuries rather than decades though I'm not sure why it's exploded recently.
