Status effects
I am good with others' abilities affecting him temporarily, especially if it's comedic. The only ones I'm wary about are things like bodyswaps / possessions. Allen's body is somewhat special! He has a Noah living in his head, a cursed eye, and a left arm that is specifically geared not to work with anyone but the "chosen" (Exorcists). If you want to do one of those, I am all for it, but we're going to need to talk. Anything else should be OK.
Serious battle / injury / death?
Unless he's under a bad influence or provoked, Allen will never start a fight himself. Hopefully you will always see it coming! As for me, I'm terrible at fight scenes, so I prefer to be able to talk to the other party through it. Allen is fairly strong and hard to maim-it's canon that when he goes down, the Innocence takes over his body and will fight for him. Not to mention the powerful evil in his head that wants his body healthy enough to be possessed later on. I am very much OK with him dying, losing, or being maimed, but I'd prefer if it didn't happen randomly and it won't be easy for most. So talk to me! Let's plot. ♥
Interacting-
In action threads, Allen will always be wearing long sleeves and gloves for now unless he's around people who've seen him fight. It's not self-consciousness or deception, but it makes for less to explain, since the scar on his eye is stark enough. I'll generally remark on it when the arm's in plain sight. His left arm basically looks like this: dark red, obviously not flesh (up to the shoulder, where it dissolves into patterns), and slightly claw-like. He can use it just fine, but it's noticeably not a regular hand.
His eye can apparently force demonic things in hiding to reveal themselves and see the true forms of souls. I'll roll with it on a case-by-case basis outside of DGM canon, but if you want to play with it, either by having your character sense the curse on his eye or having it force them into their real shapes, do let me know! I'd love a chance to work with it.
Psychics will notice that Allen is messed up and always has something at the back of his mind. Part of this is concern-Allen tends to be much very srs bizness and the fact that he is now trapped in a world where people are tortured for experiments does not make him happy. And yes, he really does care about everyone sincerely and without limit. The other part of this is the GIANT HOVERING NOAH that wants to take over his body, which the spiritually sensitive might see. I think the Noah would manifest sort of like-a possession? Allen's body isn't really the 14th's, but he's going to take it over anyway. It's just not an active possession, and the presence might appear somewhat dormant.
Allen's also got a few anti-pings: how he got his scar (read: Mana), what he sees in his reflection (read: the 14th), humanity not being worth saving. If someone pushes him on any of those topics, he's going to shut them down. If they keep going, he'll stop talking to them or he'll push back really hard. Just a heads-up.
Player style
As long as it's OK with the person who posted and not locked/filtered, I am good for being threadhopped. Feel free to jump Allen whenever it's relevant!
Note: I am something of a flake. I can and will backtag forever, but I drop threads a lot. This happens because I forget, because I check my notifications when I can't respond and forget to mark it as unread afterwards, or because I feel that the thread's going in a predictable direction and we don't need to play it all out. If you ever want a thread picked up because we still have mileage left to make, drop me a note! Don't worry about awkwardness, I am kind of dumb and have accepted that I need help in this area.
My responses with Allen are also going to be flaky and slow for the first month. He is a new voice and I am still adjusting. Please bear with me!
