Fringe - Immortality
So… that happened.
= Fringe, look at your life. Look at your choices. God's sake, who thought this was a good idea?
= That said, I love the alt-verse. They're fun, have cute banter, friendships, Zeppelins and much lower quotients of drama than our-verse currently does.
= I'm surprised by people saying that Walternate's sympathetic moments were forced. It felt completely organic to me that he would draw the line at kids because of Peter's kidnapping. It's a reasonable difference to draw between the two of them, as far as I'm concerned. As someone pointed out, it's not really that this makes Walternate more moral or ethical. It's simply that this issue is personal. It's the same reason he regards all kidnappings as Fringe events. I'm likewise a bit baffled by all the distain that he might be cheating on Elizabeth since 1) they're probably divorced and 2) at least it wasn't his student. Unlike some mad scientists we know. Cheating on your wife is gross, don't get me wrong, but it's not like this is new given what we know of Walter.
= I like Altlivia. She's not as unique or special a character as our Olivia is, but she's fun and charming and she's going to have Walternate breathing down her neck for eight months. Nobody should have to deal with that.

Know what I said about maybe I could ship them long-term when they both work through their personal issues and all that? Haha, nevermind. I'm over it. Olivia with ANYONE who isn't Peter/Walter/a blood relative would be preferable at this point. Be that Astrid, Broyles, Simon (or any of the Cortexikids), Frank, Lincoln, Our-Frank, Our-Lincoln, Alt-Charlie, Alt-Astrid, Nina, any of the Observers, Sam, her ex-boyfriend in Germany, some nice person from Fringe Division or Massive Dynamic, hot strippers who dance to Lady Gaga songs, hallucinations of John Scott, her alternate self from a third universe, random monster of the week, martyrdom, me or she could be FOREVER ALONE -- I ain't picky. I just want to be done with this and move on.
That nonsense aside, the rest of the episode looks pretty badass and fun. Our universe is finally starting to come apart at the seams. Sweet.
