Summary: They always end up fatigued, but it's worth it.
George and Elliot were always fatigued by the time they finished work. It was a given, being that they worked with special victims. But still, it was frustrating. Sometimes they wished they could do things like go out together for something other than errands. But they continued to work with special victims, continued to subject themselves to fatigue, mental and physical.
Because they were needed; because they would rather save someone’s life than enjoy a lazy night together, as much as they hated to admit it. They wanted to be together, it was just more important to help people.
Fatigue was a small price to pay for the fact that they helped victims.
