Elliot had always thought love at first sight was a myth. You couldn’t love someone you didn’t know; it would be lust at best.
And then George had come along. Everything about him screamed that he was Elliot’s match.
He hadn’t wanted to be gay. That was another thing he thought was a myth- you didn’t find out you had feelings like that in your 40’s. But there it was, and the feeling wasn’t going to go away.
Finally, after the Brodus incident, they’d gotten together.
And ever since then, Elliot had felt happier than when he thought his feelings were a myth.
