Yesterday Ulises and I put together a lasagna, froze it, and will heat up and eat it today.

I also made breakfast granola bars and a high protein banana bread.

Being in the kitchen can either cause great anxiety or be very therapeutic. Yesterday it was the latter.

So as stressful as last night was (and as stressful as the following months will be, I'm sure), I had a pretty amazing day today. I owe that to sleeping in until 9. I'm stressed out. Just very very stressed. Last night I overindulged in cookie dough and alcohol. I had been doing so well with my eating, now that's all I want to do is attack the kitchen. I take Hailey for a walk every morning in her stroller, and lately she's been getting fussy after about 10 minutes so today I tried taking her for a walk while wearing her in her mei tai carrier. She seemed to enjoy her walk so much more and towards the end she stuck her thumb in her mouth and fell asleep. She was happy and so was I as I didn't ( Read more... )

Borders has an elevator. I've lived here almost 4 years now and just found that out yesterday. Unfortunately, it wasn't until we had already bounced the stroller 3/4 of the way down the stairs before an employee who had been watching our struggle from the escalator beside us informed me of this. It is amazing how much Hailey grows each day. She is learning how to entertain herself, even if it is just playing around with (and trying to eat) the fabric tag on her Boppy pillow which, by the way, she is supposed to use to help support her while sitting up but somehow she winds up on her tummy behind it when I look away.
