To say that she was going through living hell was probably the world’s biggest understatement. She’d woken up with the dull throbbing pain in her head, her entire body sore ( from top to toe ). If anything, conversing with people via that malfunctioning golem - which continued to hit her, even now - had only served to make the headache worse. ( Read more... )

It seemed like there was a sudden flurry of activity around headquarters these days. Where had all of these exorcists come from?! Lavi couldn't remember the last time more than three of them had been at the Order building at the same time. And here they were, more than Lavi could even count. Were they preparing for some kind of major battle? And if that were the case, why hadn't he, of all people, found out about it ( ... )

The all too cheery voice that greeted her gave her forewarning to the fact that Lavi had indeed arrived. Grimacing as the pain somewhat doubled - not a pleasant experience, if you were her - she managed to hold in any pained expressions, opting instead to express the pain by tightening her grip on the door knob. "Bookman," she managed, taking small delight in the fact that her voice hadn't wavered as she addressed him. There was only so much weakness she would allow herself to show, and she was already lacking the straightened back and steady gaze she normally held.
