I would advise you not to weigh yourself. The salt could cause normal fluctuations that will disappear in a day or two. I think overall your food selection had a nice range, there were chips to feel party-ish and the vegetables and fruit to help balance it out.
Carbonated water with unsweetened cranberry juice really helps me out when I feel as though I ate too much salt/sugar. I'm about to get some in a minute--after your house we went to my in-laws for a dinner of pasta, bread, wine and apple pie for dessert. I am really, really stuffed now!
I did it, I weighed myself. I should have read your post first ;) I'm about 5 pounds up. I'm not too worried, I'm sure it's *mostly* water. If I'm able to get on the treadmill for the next 3 days I'm sure I'll be able to walk it off. It sounds like you had a very busy day yesterday!
You also have to remember that food itself has an actual weight, if you drink 16 oz. of water and then weigh yourself, you will weigh a pound more. Some of the 5 lbs. could just be the food and liquid you consumed that is still in your stomach, which is just going to be digested.
