a shot rang out in the memphis sky
for the history channel's upcoming special on dr. king, john legend has covered one of the greatest songs of all time and space. it is really, really beautiful.
so, i am having a lovely time in california. my flight, yesterday, was the longest i've ever flown, and i started to feel uncomfortably antsy about 3 hours into it. i blame this on the fact that my window seat was really just "not an aisle seat". delta, srsly, i had a WALL VIEW. not condusive to staving off mild claustrophobia. it was also completely freezing, and i've started taking sudafed to ward off the cold i felt coming on.
last night, i shopped at VONS for the first time. we don't have that chain (or ralph's) on the east coast. but then, krit has never heard of kroger's or publix because there aren't any of those in the northeast. we bought ice cream. we also, had mexican for dinner at a place called 'mujiros' or 'mujitos' (?) we watched 'making of pretty. off.' and '**** behind the scenes at honda civic'. i still completely love the story of 8yo pete flying back from camp, alone, shirtless, and with no ticket.
