jongkey. nc-17. it starts out innocent, i swear! ~3150 words
Hi. I never thought I'd write jongkey. Go away. I'm embarrassed by myself too. Just. Go. And read. This is the product of me watching the Fast & Furious movies. And for that, I'm sorry.
Jonghyun always liked to live life fast. Fast women, fast life, fast cars. It was something he lived for and thrived for; something he needed to survive. Since he could remember, he loved driving. Cars and everything about them - how they drove, how they handled, how they operated, how they fit together; there wasn’t a damn thing that Jonghyun didn’t like to research. Cars were more important than school, and Jonghyun wanted to make them be his job, if he could.
The street race circuit wasn’t one that anyone could just penetrate, you had to know someone or be good at something. Jonghyun hadn’t ever made contact with anyone inside (or so he thought), nor had he even thought about fixing up a car that would be race worthy.
It was a case of being at the possibly right place at the right time when he was heading home from his part time job at a Hyundai dealership that he got caught in the middle of a race. People tried to usher him out, but there was no easy way with the barricades already up and people thinking that he was actually going to give it a shot in his Elantra.
“What do we have here?” Jonghyun caught the very end of the embarrassing acknowledgement as he rolled down his car window, finding a somewhat safe spot near the curb. Only a few more feet and he could turn down a road that seemed to be safe and not part of anything at all. “Ladies and gentleman, we have a new contender in a POS. Should we get him to come out and introduce himself?” The blonde was already at the driver door, peering inside to get a glimpse of the man inside. Jonghyun was already shaking his head in protest and that seemed to only goad the other man on. “Looks like this attractive man is really shy~ What do we do to people who are shy?” Jonghyun caught some people shouting out answering and he could have sworn they were calling the boy Key, but that really wouldn’t be someone’s name, right?
“You really want me to drag him out? What if he tears the precious interior of his car? Well, I can’t leave the audience waiting. You want to see him, right? What’s your name, stranger? And why haven’t I seen you before?”
“Jong-Jonghyun,” Jonghyun stammered and the blonde only laughed more. It was awful. Jonghyun was never the type to get embarrassed this easily and yet, here he was, not even capable of saying his name without having a little bit of trouble. He’d have to show them that he was so much more than a bumbling idiot.
“Jong-Jonghyun, everyone,” Key exclaimed as he pulled Jonghyun out of the car, pressing him against the side of it after he closed the door. “You’re a little short to be wanting to race. Are you sure you can reach all the pedals?”
“Did your parents name your sister Lock?” It was the only thing Jonghyun could manage to shoot back, keeping his voice low so that people around couldn’t hear. But the look on Key’s face only made Jonghyun feel a little more like an asshole, even after he heard Key speak again.
“It’s a nickname, babe. If you want a name to call me in bed, it’s Kibum.” And in that moment, Jonghyun knew that he had to get to know this guy better. Maybe after he convinced them all that he wasn’t trying to race.
It took a little more convincing than he would’ve liked, Jonghyun struggling with showing them that his car wasn’t modded and he definitely didn’t have anything worthwhile under the hood. So, he got to watch the race from the sidelines with Kibum at his side, giving him a play-by-play of all the people. There was the older crowd; people who didn’t like using all the new technology to race and somehow came out on top every once in a while. One of the guys Kibum worked with, Jonghyun caught his name after several attempts - Minho, seemed to hang out with them a lot despite his allegiances needing to be elsewhere. There was the child racing prodigy, Taemin, who Kibum said tags along wherever they go and to “watch out because he likes guys like you.”
“I’m not like that,” Jonghyun replied and attempted to defend himself even more after Kibum’s laughter flooded his ears once again.
“Yeah, yeah, that’s what they all say, but all that aside, you really know your shit about cars. Have you thought about getting a better job somewhere else? You could use an upgrade on your ride. I’d be embarrassed to ride in that. Even with you driving it.”
The dig didn’t feel so bad alongside the compliment and Jonghyun finally agreed to come over to Kibum’s work and meet his boss. It was a step in the right direction for Jonghyun to live his dream, even if it didn’t last for very long.
A few days later, Jonghyun drove up to a place that seemed to be too fancy for a typical garage for racing. The big windows inside showed a place that looked sleek and refined, expensive sponsorship mixed with high quality cars and equipment. It was a car lover’s wet dream and Jonghyun had to take a moment to take it all in before he felt a hand trail down the middle of his back.
“Admiring the sights?” It was Kibum and Jonghyun turned his head to look over at him, grinning and nodding. “Come with me and I’ll show you around. Just watch your step and make sure your shoes are clean. The main area has to stay spotless. The boss man is weird like that.”
“Who’s the guy behind the counter,” Jonghyun asked as he waited for Kibum to open the door, walking in right behind the younger man.
“That’s Jinki, your boss. But you better call him Onew. You don’t know him like I do.” Kibum turned back and gave Jonghyun a smirk so wide that Jonghyun nearly tripped over himself as he crossed the threshold. In Jonghyun’s eyes, Jinki didn’t seem like the type who would be the mastermind behind all of this. He looked too… Nice.
“Kibumah, who’s the gentleman behind you?” Yeah. Too nice, Jonghyun thought to himself as he flashed Jinki a wide grin and he caught Jinki giving him one in return. Maybe this wouldn’t be half bad. “He’s cute, but I thought I told you to just take your one night stands straight up to the apartment.”
“He’s the guy I was telling you about, hyung. The cute guy with the shitty car.”
“Oh! The Hyundai, right? Reliable, but they don’t have any spunk. It’s nice to meet you, then. Jonghyun, right? I’m Onew.” This guy’s smile was blinding. How could he do anything illegal? “Let me take you in my office and I’ll tell you about how you can get hired here. Are you thirsty?”
“Uh, yeah, sure. I’ll take a bottle of water if you have any.” Jinki bent down, and pulled out three bottles of water, tossing one of them to Kibum and keeping the other two for him. That was the last he saw of Kibum as he walked into Jinki’s office, the older man shutting the door behind him before he took his seat. Nervousness kept Jonghyun from sitting down right away; leaning over the chair and watching Jinki take his own seat, the younger man grateful for the desk in between them.
“Sit down and get comfortable, Jonghyun. And let’s cut to the chase, shall we? To get in here, you have to pass a series of trials. Consider it your interview in three parts. If you perform well, you’re in. If not, you won’t ever get into this circuit.” Jinki smiled, shifting in his seat as he pushed the bottle of water closer to Jonghyun. “But, please, don’t look so nervous. You seem like the type who will be just fine.” The look on Jonghyun’s face must’ve made Jinki want to continue, not even waiting a split second to speak again. “I really do mean that. And Key’s a good teacher. Better him than Minho. I don’t think you’d like his teaching style.”
“What does he do?”
“Sits there and quietly judges you. No one normally passes if he conducts them.”
The only thing Jonghyun could do was laugh, and Jinki took that as a sign as he was ready. The older man stood up and walked around his desk, a comforting hand squeezing Jonghyun’s shoulder. “Kibum’s dangerous,” he murmured quietly after he leaned down so Jonghyun could hear. “I don’t think you have anything to worry about, but just be careful. If he gives you the special test, you’ll be in even if you fail.”
Jonghyun’s mouth opened, but no words could escape despite the hundreds of questions flooding his mind to ask. And before he could formulate anything, there was the soft click of the door behind him, signaling that Jinki had already walked out. A few moments later, a girl walked in with a business card that had a date and time scrawled on the back. “You’re free to go whenever you’re ready, Mr. Kim. It was a pleasure having you here. Please come back soon!” Jonghyun didn’t even remember passing her or ever giving his full name to anyone who worked there, but stranger things had happened to him.
His date was only three days away and each one felt as if they were double in length. His current job only seemed more daunting, Jonghyun now suddenly wanting nothing more than to say he was quitting because he found something better. The only good part about it was that he was able to drive all the cars they had fixed to get in a little more practice with cars that weren’t his own.
Three days later from when he first came into contact with everyone, Jonghyun found himself in a car that was not his own with the keys in the ignition and the blessing from one Lee Jinki to knock ‘em dead. If Jonghyun gripped the steering wheel any tighter, his knuckles might have turned white and possibly stayed in that position and they stayed that way until Kibum finally slid into the passenger seat, one of his own hands reaching out to pull Jonghyun’s off the wheel. “If you don’t relax, we’re not going out of the garage. I’m not letting you take this car anywhere until you look less like you’re going to piss your pants and more like you want to drive.”
The pep talk worked and Jonghyun loosened his grip, temporarily letting go of the steering wheel to wipe his hands on his jeans. Proving himself to anyone was never difficult, but there was something with how Kibum’s gaze bore holes into what felt like his soul that threw Jonghyun off kilter. If he had half a mind, he would’ve noticed how Kibum hadn’t fastened his seat belt and really didn’t look like he was settled in at all, but as soon as he was given the go-ahead, Jonghyun pulled out onto the street.
“Turn left.” The words were whispered right against Jonghyun’s ear and he wanted to turn at look at Kibum to see what he was doing, but there was a hand suddenly gripping his chin making sure his head stayed looking forward. “Don’t wreck this car, you’re driving Jinki’s baby right now.” The hand left Jonghyun’s chin as a finger traced down his check to the start of his collarbone. “Second light, you turn right. I’m taking you on the freeway if you pass the first test.”
Each turn was whispered and hands ghosted over different parts of his body until one of Kibum’s hands made its home in between Jonghyun’s legs, palming him through the fabric of his jeans. It didn’t take Jonghyun long before he started to spout out words of encouragement, which promptly cut him off entirely and with Kibum’s voice now sounding stern and far too distant. “If you want to pass, you can’t talk. Making some sounds is okay, but anything that resembles my name, what you want me to do, and so help me if you beg, it’s over. Got it?” Jonghyun’s lips parted but nothing left past them as he heard Kibum tsk and Jonghyun knew that he was serious.
“I want you to do a u-turn here at this next light,” Kibum continued right where he left off, his hand slowly making contact once more with Jonghyun’s inner thighs. “Don’t try to squeeze your legs together to keep my hand there. Your body needs to stay loose and relax. You won’t win if you’re tense. C’mon, babe.” Kibum’s lips glided along Jonghyun’s jaw line, moving inward and narrowly missing the edge of Jonghyun’s lips. “Do the u-turn, get on the freeway, and I’ll suck you dry as long as you don’t wreck this car.”
The thought of having that teasing mouth around his already hardening length was almost too much for Jonghyun and he shifted in his seat, just enough so that he could feel a little reprieve from all the tension building. He wondered if Kibum did this with everyone. Was it some sort of bizarre initiation? Could Jinki condone something like this? Or was Jonghyun special? Certainly, he wasn’t minding the imagery of what was going to happen, his foot nearly missing the clutch as he moved into the next gear after he started to accelerate onto the freeway.
Kibum started with his fingertips, teasingly hooking up the fabric of Jonghyun’s jeans in them letting in too much air and not enough contact for the older man to find any sort of relief. A soft whine later and Kibum smirked and unbuttoned his jeans one handed before he began to unzip them. “You think you can handle it if I can keep going? I don’t know.” If Jonghyun hadn’t been bound by the previous rule saying that he couldn’t say anything verbally, he would’ve had too many retorts for Kibum to handle. Or, at least, that’s what he told himself, his eyes flickering to meet Kibum’s as he nodded. He was going to crash this car, Jonghyun was sure of it. As soon as he felt a hand or anything against his cock, he knew that he was going to lose control and wreck the car. Confidence? What was that? Jonghyun didn’t even know it existed until he felt Kibum’s lips press against the shell of his ear, teeth grazing skin. “Don’t fuck up. I like the idea of keeping you around for when you can return the favor.”
By some grace of divine intervention, there weren’t a lot of cars on the road, giving Jonghyun free reign to move in and out of lanes as he pleased and the lack of cops on this part of the freeway meant he didn’t have to adhere to the speed limits posted. For, at least, a little while. But as he was caught up in managing speed and finding a way to keep everything under rhyme and reason, Kibum was busying himself by freeing Jonghyun’s cock from his boxers, a hand already making its way up and down the shaft. Before Jonghyun could even acknowledge that, Kibum slid down so he could take the tip of Jonghyun’s length into his mouth and that’s when the older man knew he was going to lose it.
Why was this car a manual? Why did Jonghyun need to keep his hand on the stick shift? Everything was against him as he shifted gears again, but this time, he felt Kibum’s free hand on top of his own. The wet pop of Kibum’s mouth leaving Jonghyun’s cock sounded the most depressing but it didn’t last long as Kibum’s words were rushed and the breath from them was more like the ultimate tease. “Sit back, let me shift, and just drive.” It sounded dangerous but Jonghyun was almost into fifth gear anyway and he pushed his back into the seat and after he was settled, his erection was enveloped in that hot heat once again.
Jonghyun should have known that Kibum had to be good at this because otherwise he wouldn’t have started it as Jonghyun found it more difficult to focus on staying in just one lane. His eyes were glued to the road, but now that he had a hand free, it immediately went into Kibum’s hair, fingers curling around stiff strands. His hips lifted barely off the seat each time Kibum took all of him into his mouth and Jonghyun didn’t bother fighting back the moan, struggling with keeping his eyes open instead. It felt good, it felt really good and Jonghyun was impressed with his skill and he wished that Kibum could see it, but not if that meant he would stop what he was doing. He wasn’t a stranger to people going down on him, that much was obvious, but there was something about how Kibum seemed to know everything he liked and how each swipe of his tongue along the underside of his erection or how Kibum somehow knew that a little bit of teeth went a long way. It kept bringing him closer and closer to release, Jonghyun’s eyes starting to glaze over and driving was proving to be the hardest it had ever been.
“Alright,” Jinki’s voice flooded into the car and Jonghyun was afraid that Kibum would stop, but he didn’t. In fact, Kibum just moved his mouth faster up and down, almost wanting Jonghyun to make a sound during the phone call. “That’s enough, Key. Bring him home and let me know how he did.” And as sudden as he was there, Jinki wasn’t any more and Jonghyun found himself reaching release right after, crying out Kibum’s name as he managed to get the car to come to a stop and putting it into neutral as he waited for the light to change. The rest of the ride was spent in silence, Kibum cleaning himself up and tossing a towel over Jonghyun’s crotch to deal with later.
“So what’s the third trial,” Jonghyun asked, chest still heaving as he put the car in park, leaving the keys in the ignition after he turned it off. It took Kibum a few moments to respond, taking his time with shoving Jonghyun’s cock back into his boxers and zipping him up, leaning back into the passenger seat. “Jinki does the last one, but you don’t need a car for that ride.”
“And what about you,” Jonghyun managed to ask again, watching in awe as Kibum tilted the seat back, his free hand already touching himself over layers of fabric. How Kibum licked his lips was sinful, not even saying anything as he reached out, fingers grasping at Jonghyun’s shirt as he pulled him in.
“I guess we could start without him,” Kibum replied softly. “He does like to watch.”
