My father (who has been living in the same house for, oh, just about 27 years) couldn't tell you where his clothes are being kept to save his life. And it's not like my mother changes their location every week, either. He just doesn't notice these details... I swear, my father or my uncles would be unable to live alone (though in the case of my family, it's more a generational thing; my brother and my cousin seem more... adequately equipped to deal with life).
Love the fact that the kitchen was good to go, though...
