I do a lot of bitching and moaning around here, so I'd like to point out that I am beyond lucky -- and blessed -- to be surrounded in my life by amazing women of every stripe, related or not.

Especially since I spent some of tonight catching up on this past Sunday's Mad MenMy aunts, cousins, friends, roomie, have all come through time and time

It included one chair, one end table, a t.v. with no stand or cable box, and absolutely no clothes, linens, cleaning supplies, bedding, bedroom furniture or sofas.

The words "arse" "both hands" and "map" spring to mind.

Honestly, I am very relieved that your aunt could help and for the other you are getting. I know things have been intensely difficult for you of late and it's good to know you have support.

Love the fact that the kitchen was totally pristine. And what your aunt says is probably valid for a vast proportion of the male species, frankly.

My father (who has been living in the same house for, oh, just about 27 years) couldn't tell you where his clothes are being kept to save his life. And it's not like my mother changes their location every week, either. He just doesn't notice these details... I swear, my father or my uncles would be unable to live alone (though in the case of my family, it's more a generational thing; my brother and my cousin seem more... adequately equipped to deal with life).
