Very well done - I don't have the Cassie hate a lot of people do, but yeah, the woman was crazy to throw Dean out on his ass! Oh, Dean. Poor baby!

Good backstory - fit well with what we saw in the ep, and you broke my Dean-lovin' heart with the boy's angst. *sob* And I wish Sam would pick up his damn phone. lol!

I really liked this, though I admit I'm a sap and only read the good part where they were together before the big fight. I honestly never understand why people don't like Cassie. I did from the get go. She was so different from the oh so typical girls like Jo who throw themselves at Dean constantly. A guy like that would want a challenge, someone different, strong, even difficult, like he is. I thought she was a great match for him. He told her a story that in real life no sane person would believe and was almost as devastated by the end of such a quickfire intense love as he was. Then when she saw something that made her question what she thought was real, it's like she had to reach out to him, now that she knew, even if just for closure. I wish more people did like her cause I'd get more great fic like this especially since I like het but the thought of Dean/Jo makes me physically sick (I will actually read Dean/Ellen over that, at least that woman's got original character). So, from the Itty Bitty Cassie-lovers Committee,

I liked Cassie, too. Like, not obsessively, but I liked the one episode she was in and was very interested to see what kind of girl could have possibly had such an effect on Dean. SHE IS SO MUCH BETTER THAN JO AND I AM NOT ASHAMED TO SAY THIS IN ALL CAPS OH MY GOODNESS. Dean/Jo makes me want to vomit, it's absolutely disgusting. Jo is so weak and annoying and has no clue what she wants in her life and still has freaking screaming matches with her MOTHER. Wtf at the zillions of the people who think that Dean digs immature girls. People say that Jo is such a tough chick and I'm just like, WHAT? Swinging a knife around and having a desire to hunt doesn't make you tough. Cassie was strong, smart, independent, and a very tough woman who never backed down from anyone, including Dean. Okay, enough ranting.

Aww, thank you! I just don't get fandom sometimes. Cassie vs. Jo? Cassie is where it's at. Dean doesn't even like Jo any more than the tons of other girls they've saved. @__@

This is just one of those fics you read and think to yourself, Yeah, this is exactly how it went. I'll admit that Cassie on the show didn't appeal to me, but I was in the mood for some het today and stumbled across your story. And, oh, I'm so glad that I did.

The character voices are excellent and very natural. It was so easy to hear the actors' voices speaking them as I read. This almost made me like Cassie too as it portrayed her as a headstrong, independent woman while keeping her true to the one we met in the show. One of my favorite parts was Dean's comparison between Cassie and Sam--their bitchy streaks and intelligent ways. It just makes the Dean/Cassie relationship make that much more sense.

Just a lovely story. I really enjoyed reading it. Thank you for sharing it with us. :)
