Lois might love Clark and all but she did not love the fact that he woke at the ass crack of dawn at all. It was like he was put on this planet to purposefully wake her up. "Good morning, Sunshine," Clark calmly replies, and presses a warm cup of coffee into Lois' hand with a fond yet knowing smile. He drops a quick kiss to her tousled hair and turns back into the kitchen and back to what had, in actuality, not been much noise at all.

"I brought you breakfast," he says over one shoulder. "Sit down at the table, I'll bring it out."

She leaned into the kiss, wrapping her hands around the cup. It was no Sullivan Special but hey, Lois wasn't about to turn down a cup of coffee.

"Hmmm, okay you might be inching off my bad list Smallville. Coffee and breakfast," Lois said, sliding a hand around his waist and pressing against him for a moment. A little focused on age and he's no me but not bad. And some of the stories- did you know there's an underwater city?"

"I did," Clark replies, plate in hand. He places it gently on the table in front of Lois and then settles into the adjacent chair. "I went down when it was first discovered. It's dangerous," he adds with a knowing look. Without having to ask, he already knows she'll want to see it. Now begins the process of steadily wearing him down.

"Ahuh, so's crossing the ro-boardwalk. And I hear that Compound can be pretty dangerous for your stomach at least," Lois replied, folding the paper in half and placing it to one side. Looking up at Clark steadily, Lois put on her best 'I'm not backing down Clark' faces and stared at him. "And so's half a dozen things I did at home regularly for a story, that you probably don't need to hear about right now. Look, I'm not going to go in unprepared and I wouldn't go in without an escort."
