YOUR HAIR LOOKS SO FLY. Oh, man. It looks so good. I love it when people go super short.
So you recommend the Aveda Institute thing? I looked into it while I still lived in Chicago, but never followed through. I just never feel like the stylists I go to do anything exceptional with my hair and I hate to pay the extra cash if it's just... boring, y'know? Plus, I dono, I kinda feel like people who are still learning are maybe a little more adventurous with hair or something? Idk.
Thank you. :) Me too! I've been wanting to do it for years but was too scared - worried it wouldn't look good on me. But then my sisters kept nagging me to do it, reassuring me I had the face for it. Glad I finally gave in last summer! I don't think I'm ever going to want it long again.
Absolutely. And yes, exactly! They all do each other's hair there so if the stylists' hair look awesome, then definitely give it a go. I have literally seen one of them clock out of work and then get their hair done by someone else who was free. I can't believe I use to pay $70+ for shit/bland haircuts and now I pay $12 for exceptional ones.
And again, if they don't know what they're doing, they'll put the scissors down and grab an instructor. Or if it's not quite looking right for some reason (mine was a little mop-like the first time I got my short haircut), the instructor will fix it.
Really? Strange. I mean, there have been a few times I was there for 2 hours at the most. But usually I'm out in an hour a half and that's only because of the time added for waiting for an instructor to approve things. And whenever I went elsewhere before finding Aveda, I was there for much longer. Maybe the other places here are just shit... lol
3 hours?? Wow. That's how long it'd take at the other places I went when I had longer hair and got a shorter cut with layers. But the thing is, it can't take more than 2 hours where we go considering the parking has a 2 hour limit. heh
